Martello Adds AudioCodes SBC Reporting to Experience Monitoring

The Microsoft Modern Workplace is focused on the use of cloud-based Microsoft 365 tools and services to grow and support the capabilities of today’s workers. This includes Microsoft Teams, a real-time collaboration and communication application for messaging, meetings, file sharing and more.

Recently, the company announced the launch of Vantage DX V3.7 to bring enterprise IT and UC teams end-to-end visibility into a user’s call path with the addition of AudioCodes session border controller (SBC) monitoring. The goal of the latest version is to help quickly identify critical issues impacting users to resolve them.

With today’s workforce being largely hybrid, Microsoft Teams has seen an increase in users. More than 270 million monthly active users, and more than 12 million of these users now make voice calls using Microsoft Teams Phone across VoIP and PSTN connections. In a January 2022 report, Gartner predicted that by 2024, 20% of total Microsoft Teams active users will adopt telephony services for external calling on Teams.

The latest offering solves visibility issues into network problems that lead to less than stellar experiences using Microsoft Teams. With better insights and reporting it is possible to see what is causing the problems and who is affected. For phone environments where the PTSN, SBCs and ISPs are involved it becomes even more complicated.

With Vantage DX V3.7 users gain end-to-end insight into each part of the user's call path by correlating the AudioCodes SBC call detail reports with Microsoft Teams call quality analytics. It also checks for network problems and can identify which owner is responsible for network issues.
