Infobip Adds WhatsApp & SMS to Microsoft Dynamics 365

July 29, 2022

Today’s customers are online, using apps and connecting via social platforms more than ever before. In light of this, businesses have had to step up efforts to meet their customers where they are. On their mobile devices and via applications.

Being present in these places improves customer satisfaction rates and helps drive sales.

Cloud communications platform provider Infobip has now added its WhatsApp and SMS channels to Microsoft offerings so businesses can more easily connect and communicate with customers via the channels they prefer.

Specifically it has integrated SMS and WhatsApp channels with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales. With this, it's possible to build personalized campaigns for customers using a combination of text messaging, graphics and video capabilities. Things like coupons targeted specifically at customers along their journey can be distributed via this channel as well as appointment reminders, payment due dates and more.

For users, seeing the data from customers and the messages being received all in a single-view dashboard makes management easier.

It’s also added its WhatsApp channel to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Marketing so that larger enterprises with marketing teams can also interact with customers via this channel.

“The evolution of our collaboration with Microsoft demonstrates our commitment to ensure businesses can communicate with their customers using their preferred channel. In doing so, we help improve the customer experience, enhance loyalty, and ultimately boost sales. Our network delivered 225 billion messages last year and is connected to 70% of the world’s mobile devices via 700 global telecom partners,” said Veselin Vukovic, VP of Strategic Partnership at Infobip.

“We’re delighted to be a Microsoft partner and our new integration will make it easier for customers to make use of our global reach and rich channel mix.”

Last year, Infobip added its Communications Platform-as-a-Service on Microsoft Azure to bring omnichannel capabilities to Microsoft’s platforms. This latest integration was now made possible thanks to that move.

As part of this latest move Azure customers can now also use existing Azure credits to access Infobip’s Conversations cloud contact center solution.
