RingCentral & Mitel Announce First Round of Certified Devices

Enterprise cloud communications provider RingCentral announced late last year that it was forming a strategic partnership with Mitel to create a seamless migration path to its Message Video Phone cloud communications platform.

This partnership was touted for bringing customers a differentiated and customer-focused approach for digital transformations.

Now, just five months later, the companies are jointly announcing they have achieved certification for Mitel 6900 IP Desk Phones and RingCentral MVP as well as other product updates.

Included as part of the certification are the Mitel 6920, 6930 and 6940 IP desk phones.

Working together with product and engineering teams, they have tested, implemented, built and learned together. The goal was to preserve the Mitel phone experience and still offer hybrid teams for 2022 and beyond the advanced, easy-to-use features they need.

Mitel’s business VoIP phones offer exceptional audio experiences and high definition displays and optimized handsets with bluetooth support. Combined with the easy to use and manage RingCentral MVP cloud phone system creates and ultimate power house for advanced communications needs.

Some of these initial advanced features will include: Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP), Busy Lamp Field (BLF), call recording, analytics, and more.

With assisted provisioning integration, it’s possible to achieve faster deployments and reduce costs. In addition to getting rid of truckrolls and manual interventions which can lead to mistakes, automatic deployment and configuration of network devices also reduces time and costs for admins and offers significant cost savings.

The company is also offering exclusive incentives for existing customers to upgrade to RingCentral MVP to take advantage of all the upgraded capabilities and to make the move to the cloud more enjoyable for all.
