The global workforce is still in the midst of a remote/hybrid revolution, and businesses across the globe are providing employees with the necessary equipment to remain active in work from any location. However, elements of office life are still missing from these types of setups, causing concerns for executives looking to remain professional with a dispersed workforce. Numerous employees are utilizing personal home or mobile phone numbers for business responsibilities, which can be an issue from both a security and confidentiality standpoint.

Cloud communications leader Dialpad recently revealed customers can now take advantage of direct inward dialing (DID), a feature enabling businesses to assign business phone numbers to employees without a standard landline phone.

Dialpad’s new direct inward dialing capabilities allow businesses to offer employees a unique business number, which can be used for any mobile device or smartphone supporting the Dialpad platform. Additionally, this new feature enables businesses to personalize employee outbound calls and text messages with local area codes from more than 70 countries across the globe, regardless of where they’re actually working from.

“Hybrid work is here to stay and businesses need reliable, secure communications solutions to keep operations running smoothly. Instead of making businesses purchase separate apps for calling, video meetings and customer experience, we bring everything together into one simple and intuitive platform.” commented Dialpad Australia country manager Gerard D’Onofrio.
