8x8 Releases New 'Work For Web' Feature with Other Product Enhancements

Cloud contact center provider 8x8 has released a number of Spring 2021 upgrades to its spectrum of cloud-based contact center products. As a part of the new lineup, the company has introduced the “Work For Web” feature, which allows users to connect to the 8x8 portal through popular web browsers like Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.

According to 8x8’s own research, nearly 82% of organizations will be hybridizing their work environments with a mixture of in office and remote work in the post-pandemic era. 8x8 developers have been focusing heavily on the new demands of the modern workforce, which has become reliant on cloud and remote services to remain functional during the pandemic. The remote working trend will likely remain a permanent fixture in business culture, which means customers will have higher expectations for the functionality of their contact center and communications providers.
