Say Hello with Improved Caller ID

Who out there screens calls? C’mon, let’s see those hands! I don’t know about you, but I am certainly guilty about it from time to time. This is where caller ID comes in the clutch, and in business, this is paramount. Feature-rich is a phrase we hear thrown around quite a bit these days,  but when PBX resellers says these features aren’t so rich, it’s important to listen.

Today, Telo and SkySwitch announced a partnership making the Telo Caller Name lookup capability available to Skyswitch’s network of hosted telecom resellers, introducing a 93% accuracy rate in the caller ID offering.

Traditionally caller ID is a service provided by a phone service provider. Caller ID data is pulled from a caller name database, so that each time a call is received it is displayed. Unfortunately, errors are a more than common occurrence, which is what prompted SkySwitch to turn to Telo.

Brent James, COO for Telo noted, “the collaboration emerged through discussions centered around customer feedback and a shared vision for quality of service. SkySwitch was among a small group of specifically selected carriers to work with Telo to implement improvements to OpenCNAM. By virtue of this product development relationship, OpenCNAM Plus has been able to achieve an increase of its already industry-leading caller name match-rate from 87% to over 93% domestically.”

Caller ID is an often overlooked, yet valuable tool. Even a broken clock is right twice a day, the bar should be a bit higher for your feature-rich, future forward PBX deployment.

How accurate is your caller ID?
