A Walk-Through the ITEXPO Exhibit Hall

February 16, 2018

By Paula Bernier - Executive Editor, TMC

Time sure does fly by. I can’t believe it’s already the last day of ITEXPO.

It has been a great event again this year. The Fort Lauderdale weather was absolutely perfect. And today, I even got a little time off from meetings and moderating to check in with a few of the ITEXPO exhibitors on the show floor.

Here’s what a few of them had to say.

Fusion

This company provides integrated cloud solutions to small, medium, and large businesses. Earlier this week it announced that it has engaged Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and MUFG to arrange about $570 million in senior secured credit facilities. Fusion took this step as part of its previously announced Birch Communications acquisition. Birch offers cloud and business services.

Nextiva

This business, which was in the TCG Consulting booth, is preparing to rollout a new NextOS. This platform will have social media listening capabilities and marketing automation features. So if someone mentions your company online, you know it and the new NextOS triggers the delivery of a marketing email to that individual. However, that’s just one of the many things new NextOS will be able to do. It also supports CRM, live chat, SMS, surveys, and more, explains Tyson Clark, Nextiva’s channel manager for South Florida.

Kaleidoscope

Speaking of marketing, this company can help businesses up their game with its digital signage software program. It enables businesses to deliver customized content to their customers, whether those customers are sitting in a dentist or orthodontist office, visiting a bank, or otherwise moving through the world. As part of the software package, customers receive initial content customization assistance. They also get 50 free layouts each month to help them keep their content looking fresh. Debra Shine, who handles business development for the company, says Kaleidoscope is like a quiet concierge that’s always there, marketing your business for you. The company is at ITEXPO this week seeking partners that want to roll its solution into their larger offers.

Spracht

This company is the retail brand of ODI, which does design for OEM customers. Spracht made its debut in 2006 with a portable Bluetooth speaker that pairs with a smartphone. That was before this kind of a solution was mainstream, notes Margarita Kovats, Spracht vice president. Today Spracht offers a wide variety of products, including conference phones, headsets, ear buds, video and audio conferencing tools, and a wider array of wireless speakers. At ITEXPO this week it was highlighting its Aura Video Mate HD solution, which the company introduced late last year.

Expereo

I also ambled over to visit Expereo today, and met Global Channel Director Victor Hou. He says this company has been in the business of aggregation for the past 13 years. It’s leveraging technology from various SD-WAN vendors to deliver services. And it does the installation and shipping, and otherwise tries to make life easy for its customers. The company delivers its SD-WAN and cloud acceleration services in 200 countries.

Centrestack

One of my last stops on the ITEXPO show floor today was at Centrestack’s booth. There, COO and co-founder Franklyn Peart explains that his company offers software that orchestates access to storage, wherever that storage may be.

Of course, the above companies are just a small sampling of the many exhibitors at ITEXPO this week. Thank you to everybody who contributed to make the show a success. We look forward to seeing you at the next TMC event.
