ABP Technology Partners with BVoIP for UC System
ABP Technology specializes in the reselling of voice-over-IP (VoIP) phone systems and IP-based surveillance and infrastructure products. The company's latest partnership is with BVoIP which will offer a complete cloud-based IP-private branch exchange (IP-PBX) for ABP resellers to offer to their channel customers.
BVoIP will offer its service, which contains unified communications capabilities, complete installation, and continued maintenance only to ABP channel partners. This will make it somewhat exclusive but should act as an incentive for partners to continue their relationships with ABP. Robert Messer, the president and CEO of ABP, commented on these points in the official partnership announcement.
“BVoIP provides a unique platform for MSPs, channel partners, and resellers that provide a complete phone solution coupled with local installation and maintenance services,” Messer said. “Now our resellers can have their own cloud platform that is already integrated on the back-end with an automated phone fulfillment service.
The partnership does more than give resellers an option for their clients' communications needs. It offers a single point of contact for an entire system of communications because BVoIP has indicated that it will handle all the setup and support for its product once a deal is made. For that reason, BVoIP commented that it was happy to join forces with ABP. The deal should it a number of additional customers and another stage on which to prove the worth of its product.
This announcement comes off the heels of another partnership between BVoIP and 247 Supported which offers similar reseller services throughout the U.K. Of course, this is good news for all companies involved. However, it is much more than that.
It also displays part of the bigger picture which is that the VoIP market is growing because of the technology's ability to connect all manner of users on desktop and mobile. It has also proven inexpensive, so there are relatively few setup costs that could hinder small businesses or enterprises in developing countries from getting started.
ABP primarily operates in North America, Latin America, and the Caribbean and may encounter situations where VoIP offers costs savings that other platforms cannot match. BVoIP should be a part of those deals both in those regions and, at the very least, in the U.K. as its other partnerships develop.
