Panasonic System Communications Company of North America is currently a leading provider of business telephone systems. A little less than a week ago, they announced its selection of tekVizion Labs to manage its new SIP Interoperability and Certification program. Equipment’s reliability is extremely important in the business world. Products have to be tested to guarantee that they will work as intended under certain conditions and circumstances. Employing tekVizion for this task will help Panasonic to streamline that process.

Darlene Smith, who is the senior director of partner alliances for tekVizion said “We continue to broaden our portfolio of industry leading manufacturers who leverage our expertise to help their partners complete important SIP interoperability testing in a timely and cost effective manner and Panasonic is no exception. We look forward to working with Panasonic’s partners and to accelerating time-to-market for important IP applications and services.”

Providing well tested equipment allows SMB customers reduce their monthly telephone costs, while verifying interoperability with Panasonic’s business telephone systems and SIP trunks. This partnership allows Panasonic’s service provider and reseller partners to take advantage of a streamlined SIP testing process. This allows speedy delivery of a range of advanced unified communications applications and services.

Panasonic System Communications Company of North America’s senior product manager for unified communications, Kim Murtagh made the following comments, “With more than a decade of experience verifying hardware and software interoperability for many of the industry’s top manufacturers, tekVizion is helping us deploy a new, streamlined process that provides tremendous value to our service provider and reseller partners. SIP trunking is a fast growing market and interoperability is the key to success. Our new certification program helps our partners eliminate barriers and more quickly bring new services to market.”

This partnership between Panasonic and tekVizion will allow Panasonic to ramp up production of its communication applications while remaining assured that their products will work as advertised. Having a third party with a reputation as solid as tekVizion’s working in conjunction with the SIP program is a win-win for consumers.
