Iwatsu Voice Networks, a provider of communications solutions to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), announced recently a distribution agreement with One IP Voice, a subsidiary of Farmstead Telephone Group, Inc.
The agreement specifies that Iwatsu will be a North American distributor of One IP Voice’s hosted VoIP products and services.
One IP Voice’s offerings include:
-
Hosted IP Centrex and IP trunking
-
Private, “Last Mile” connectivity on a national basis
-
Long distance calling
-
On Net Calling
-
Local area calling
-
911 capabilities
-
Wide Area Network voice and data connectivity
In a press release about the agreement, Iwatsu noted that IDC recently predicted growth of the hosted VoIP market from $310 million in 2005 to more than $3 billion by 2010.
“We realize that while VoIP can be a powerful ally in business communications, purchasing and maintaining on site equipment isn’t always the best option,” said Kevin Kelleher, Executive Vice President of Iwatsu Voice Networks, in a press release. “By offering a hosted VoIP solution, we are enhancing the portfolio of products available to our dealer channel”.
Kelleher also noted that both companies see “significant opportunity” in marketing these services to the SMB market.
