Israel Telecom Selects Comverse Netcentrex IP-Based Voice Solutions

Bezeq (News - Alert), the Israel Telecommunication Corporation has selected Comverse’s Netcentrex IP-based voice solutions to serve both residential and business subscribers.
Based on a future-proof IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) architecture, the deployment of Comverse Netcentrex (News - Alert) MyCall Broadband IP Telephony, IPCentrex and Business Trunking is part of Bezeq's migration to next-generation network technologies to beter serve its customers.
Emphasizing that the rapid deployment of innovative and cost-effective services in its core business is a top priority for Bezeq, Yuval Keinan, vice president of engineering at  Bezeq, explained that the company intends to use the Comverse (News - Alert) Netcentrex portfolio of advanced IP-based voice services to serve subscribers who represent the majority of consumers and businesses in Israel.
The selection of Comverse was based both on the company’s experience with feature-rich, IP-based telephony solutions and its on-time delivery record.
The deployment is an important benchmark with this strategic customer, according to John Bunyan, chief marketing officer at Comverse. The company is very pleased that Bezeq has joined the more than 80 operators worldwide who use Netcentrex IP-based voice solutions to offer innovative services with support for future network migration.
Operators trust Comverse’s timely delivery of robust solutions that can be fully integrated with the complete Comverse portfolio of billing and value-added services solutions that boost revenues and create operational efficiencies.
Comverse is a provider of software and systems enabling network-based messaging and content value-added services, prepaid, postpaid and converged billing and IP communications.
The company’s Netcentrex MyCall solution is a pre-integrated IP-based telephony solution that improves time to market, lowers operational costs and easily scales for future growth. Comverse was in news recently when Messaging International’s PC2Mobile Application Suite, which allows users to send text, pictures, music and video from a PC to a mobile phone, was integrated for global availability into Comverse’s comprehensive messaging portfolio and was successfully deployed by a Tier One operator in Eastern Europe.
