NexHorizon to Upgrade Its Network Infrastructure
By Brian Solomon, TMCnet Web Editor
NexHorizon Communications has finalized a plan to upgrade its network infrastructure as it prepares to close the transaction announced between NexHorizon, Chula Vista Cable and National City Cable systems, according to a NexHorizon announcement. As its first step toward full Triple Play
service, Chula Vista Cable has started a Phase 1 upgrade.
The company has begun its beta test of digital phone service in National City and Chula Vista. Customer service representatives and field technicians will start training related to the new triple play services, expected to be launched right after the transaction is closed. The triple play services are expected to be priced competitively.
NexHorizon will continue working with its partners to digitize the cable system infrastructure and expand its broadband offerings. Additionally, the company announced an extension of its management agreement with Chula Vista Cable and National City Cable for 60 more days, or until the transaction closes pending receipt of the final audits.
