Mu Dynamics Record Quarter Shows New Business Grows More Than 100 Percent Year to Year

By Stefanie Mosca, TMCnet Web Editor

Mu Dynamics, Inc., provider of testing IP services, has announced its sixth record quarter and more than 100 percent year-over-year growth, driven by quick customer adoption.

Mu has recently secured key customers in the wired service provider, wireless service provider, federal government and network equipment manufacturer markets, including multiple Tier-1 North American wireless operators and global network manufacturers.

“Our tremendous growth is market validation of our unique and proven approach to testing virtually any service and its underlying application-aware infrastructure,” said Dave Kresse, CEO of Mu Dynamics (News - Alert). “Our customers are under extraordinary pressure to quickly bring new offerings to market and ensure that they perform as expected. To meet these demands, they are turning to us for our unique approach to testing, which uses actual customer traffic to facilitate the rapid and effective scale, functional, and security testing of their products and services.”

The company has accomplished a lot this year including the launch of Mu Studio Scale, the industry’s first solution to replicate customer usage scenarios for the purpose of scale testing mobile, cloud, and triple play applications. Mu Studio ensures that customers test using real clients and real transactions to understand the true scalability, functionality, and security of products and services prior to deployment.

It also developed Mu Test Suite for IPv6, and became the solution of choice at the University of New Hampshire’s InterOperability Lab “UNH-IOL (News - Alert)” for USGv6 NPD testing. Mu has also released test content for IPv6 Ready Logo Phases 1 & 2, offering the most comprehensive IPv6 migration testing solution on the market.

Mu Dynamics has also seen significant growth on the pcapr community with over 4,600 users and 60 million packets. pcapr is now the world’s largest online repository of packets.

This year, Mu also launched xtractr, a collaborative cloud application for network troubleshooting, problem isolation and forensics. xtractr’s unique deployment model allows customers to maintain privacy of their data while leveraging the power of online collaboration.

“The true key to our success is the partnership we have with the most innovative and inspiring customers in the world,” said Kresse. “We work closely with our customers to solve their toughest testing challenges, resulting in our solutions being at the forefront of innovation in the testing tools marketplace.”

Mu Dynamics is also expanding its team across the organization with increases in sales, engineering and support in order to expand its reach, further accelerate its pace of innovation, and support its growing customer base.
