Telecom expense management (TEM) software firm Rivermine (News - Alert) announced Monday the appointment of a new Vice President of Engineering. The post is now held by Tat Ng, who brings almost two decades of senior software engineering experience to the job.
Ng’s new job involves managing Rivermine’s engineering organization, including software development and maintenance of existing and future solutions.
Mark Logan (News - Alert), president and CEO at Rivermine, described Ng’s expertise as “world-class,” and said the appointment cements the company’s leadership position as a wireline and wireless TEM services provider with both hosted and on-premise options.
“Tat's deep knowledge of software-as-a-service architectures and global product support will ensure that we continue as the industry frontrunner and meet the domestic and international needs of our customers,” Logan said in a statement.
Before joining Rivermine, Ng was engineering director at Borland Software (News - Alert), a firm specializing in application lifecycle management and software delivery solutions. He also previously worked as vice president of engineering at ECnet (Web-based supply chain management for enterprises) and held senior engineering positions at Sybase (News - Alert) and NRM Computer Systems.
Ng said his new position is an exciting one because Rivermine is a strongly-positioned TEM market player with a robust global network of channel partners, committed investors and solutions recognized as market-leading.
“I look forward to building on this success by further strengthening Rivermine's engineering team with solid personnel and processes as well as continued delivery of market-leading solutions,” Ng said in a statement.
Rivermine also announced two other upper-management appointments: Mike Gorman (former chief software architect) as chief technology officer and Kevin Dunetz (one of the company’s co-founders) as executive vice president of global services.
