Further strengthening a position in the global marketplace for their Media Exchange platform, Intervoice (News - Alert) has announced a new secured contract with a large East African wireless service provider estimated to be worth $4.2 million.
This contract follows other secured orders for Media Exchange in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific and Latin America.
The contract was a direct result of joint sales efforts with an anonymous European network equipment provider and calls for Media Exchange enhanced services platform to provide voicemail solutions like VoiceSMS, Missed Call Alerts and Abandoned Call Alerts.
According to a news release, the order is for voicemail for more than 2 million subscribers as well as the ability to support future applications.
With Intervoice Media Exchange service providers are given the ability to offer improved personalization, video and WAP access to customers from a single subscriber account. The solution is an open-standards IP-based, IMS-ready system that can function in either a SIP or TDM or mixed network environment. The solution also features reporting and analysis tools to give service providers the information they need to improve their systems and enhance customer satisfaction.

Furthermore we greatly value our relationship with this network equipment provider that was so instrumental in helping us secure this new service provider contract," said Jim Milton, Chief Operating Officer, Intervoice in a statement to the press.
