Speech technologies provider Loquendo (News - Alert) has announced its ASR Automotive solution was chosen by Nav N Go for their iGO8 navigation software.

 

Loquendo's solution is perfect for use in a car where environments are often noisy and mobile devices are typically small. The Loquendo ASR Automotive Solution includes enhanced recognition technology, is multilingual and is optimized for small device voice inputs.

 

Back in May, the company also announced that Nav N Go iGO 8 also utilizes Loquendo TTS Automotive Solution for multilingual, high-quality prompts that read out directions and are truly life-like.  

 

The combination of Loquendo's speech recognition and text to speech solutions provides telematics systems with the ability to offer drivers easier control and a hands-free eyes-free commute.
