Speech Recognition and Text to Speech Provider Loquendo Releases CreateYourDemo

By Jamie Epstein, TMCnet Web Editor

Attention voice application developers who want to create their own VoiceXML (News - Alert)-based voice applications utitilizng Loquendo’s innovative speech technologies including speech recognition and text to speech. You will be thrilled to know that Loquendo (News - Alert) has just launched an all new service called Loquendo CreateYourDemo.

Developers can easily use CreateYourDemo to evaluate their application(s), while analyzing the multiple capabilities provided through Loquendo TTS, ASR and VoxNauta platform. Developers no longer are required to install those aforementioned software suites on their own equipment, due to this just launched service. In addition, this Loquendo powered service will enable developers to have access to continuously updated speech resources with all fully supported languages and voices readily available.

According to a press release, the online service delivers Loquendo speech technologies via SaaS (News - Alert), through the highly successful Loquendo VoxNauta voice platform, a solution which gives users unlimited access to voice applications either through PSTN or VoIP.

Essentially how this service works is the developer supports the VoiceXML application on their own server and can then test it. Users even have the option of interacting with the demo through a regular phone, SIP phone or Skype.

Developers that can’t wait to get started with this new product must supply the Application Server address or in other terms the URL of the VoiceXML application home page in the CreateYourDemo area, located within the Loquendo website.

Similar to test driving a new car before purchasing it, CreateYourDemo offers developers a way to test out voice services in conjunction with Loquendo’s speech technologies through the testing of both applications and demos.
