Tagalog and English eCard Service Come to PinoyKubo Social Network

By Calvin Azuri, TMCnet Contributor

Astraqom, an IP communications operator, recently announced the availability of Tagalog and English eCard service to its niche social network Pinoykubo Online Community. Astraqom is headquartered in Canada and it serves many business customers and partners from Philippines. Due to the business working with the Filipino community, the social network dedicated to Filipinos was setup. The social media platform has tools for business, social, and personal activities. Two popular features added recently are white board writing chat and eCard. Due to overwhelming demand, they introduced eCard services in both Tagalog and English languages.

In a release, PinoyKubo team member Catherine P. Keng said, “The eCard service of PinoyKubo is great for members of the social networking site who enjoy sending personalized eCard to friends and relatives. An eCard can be personalized as the service lets us choose a theme, write our own message on the eCard, and apply some customization to the style before sending to the recipient via email. Some eCard are in English and some are in Tagalog, which makes them more interesting for us Filipinos who use both languages. I think having member-created and submitted eCard for sending, would be a good idea since it will make the service more 'social' and will give us even more templates to choose from.”

PinoyKubo is a cloud computing based eCard services that allows consumers to create and send eCard to their loved ones. They also can create their eCard with a personal touch with social elements.

PinoyKubo’s VP of Business Development, Suzanne Bowen, said, “Over ten thousand new friendships have been added on PinoyKubo just this week, totaling 63,572 since midsummer 2011 when it made a beta entry to online social networks. We get several wall comments, discussion topics and direct emails about ways to improve the social experience among individuals and organizations that are collaborating as users, developers, sponsors, partners, and what I call social butterflies. The last category, the 'social butterflies' are those who grasp right away how to meet their own goals as well as helping others do the same with PinoyKubo social network. The eCard addition is just one of the many tools that have been added as a result of member requests.”
