Avaya Selects VoSKY Technologies as Gold Member in DeveloperConnection Program

By Niladri Sekhar Nath, TMCnet Contributing Editor

Avaya (News - Alert), Inc., has selected VoSKY Technologies as a Gold member in its Avaya DeveloperConnection program. As a member of the DeveloperConnection program, companies are granted access to a wide range of support from Avaya, including technical resources and training.
VoSKY Technologies develops VoSKY Exchange, a family of enterprise-grade PBX-to-Skype (News - Alert) gateways that seamlessly integrate traditional or IP-based phone systems with Skype.
The VoSKY Exchange business Skype solution interoperates with Avaya's traditional Merlin Magix and Partner phone systems, as well as Avaya IP Office, a converged voice and data solution for small and midsized companies. Thus, businesses can interconnect both traditional and IP-based Avaya phone systems to form a private voice network for free interoffice communications.
The Avaya DeveloperConnection (News - Alert) program supports the development, compliance-testing and co-marketing of innovative third-party products that are compatible with standards-based Avaya solutions. Member organizations have know-how in technologies such as IP telephony, contact centers and mobility applications.
“Gold membership in Avaya’s DeveloperConnection program is a testament to VoSKY’s commitment to working with leading technology partners like Avaya to deliver industry compliant solutions to the business market,” said David Tang, vice president of global marketing at VoSKY Technologies, in a statement to the press.
Tang continued: “Building on Avaya resources and working more closely with the company to deliver compliance-tested solutions to the market, we are able to make the integration of Avaya and VoSKY solutions seamless, thus significantly reducing implementation time and costs for our partners and customers.”
With the DeveloperConnection program, Avaya provides several tools and capabilities to member companies such as Application Enablement Services (AES)—a set of application programming interfaces, protocols and Web services that make it easier for developers to create Avaya-compatible networks, devices and applications.
"With the involvement of companies like VoSKY Technologies, our Avaya developer community has become a catalyst for rapid innovation — creating multi vendor applications that help enterprises around the world unleash powerful new possibilities for operating more efficiently and effectively," said Eric Rossman, vice president, developer relations and technical alliances at Avaya, in a statement.
Rossman continued: “We help businesses embed secure, reliable Intelligent Communications into the very fabric of their organization so employees and customers have ready access to information regardless of where they are and how they prefer to communicate.”
