VoSKY Technologies Becomes Gold Level Member in Avaya's DeveloperConnect Program

By Mae Kowalke, TMCnet Associate Editor

Skype (News - Alert) business solutions specialist VoSKY Technologies announced Wednesday its selection as a Gold member in Avaya’s DeveloperConnect program. The selection was made in part because VoSKY’s Exchange solution integrates with Avaya’s (News - Alert) Merlin Magix and Partner phones systems, and Avaya’s IP Office solution.
VoSKY Exchange is a family of PBX (News - Alert)-to-Skype gateways designed to seamlessly integrate traditional or IP-based phone systems with the Internet-based Skype voice network. As a Skype business solution, VoSKY Exchange helps companies reduce their telecom costs.
Thanks to the integration with Avaya’s product, VoSKY Exchange offers an ideal value proposition for many companies. It interconnects both traditional and IP-based phones from Avaya to create a private voice network using for free, inter-office communications. By connecting the system to Skype, businesses can obtain low-cost long distance and international calling.
VoSKY now joins thousands of other software and hardware development companies in Avaya’s program with expertise in a broad range of technologies including contact centers, IP telephony, and mobility applications. DeveloperConnection (News - Alert) promotes development, compliance-testing and co-marketing of third-party products compatible with Avaya’s solutions.
As Gold level member in DeveloperConnection, VoSKY now has new opportunities to utilize multivendor networks and help transform voice into a business application that offers bottom-line benefits for the business market.
“Building on Avaya resources and working more closely with the company to deliver compliance-tested solutions to the market, we are able to make the integration of Avaya and VoSKY solutions seamless, thus significantly reducing implementation time and costs for our partners and customers,” said David Tang, vice president of global marketing at VoSKY, in a statement.

Avaya offers its DeveloperConnection members with a variety of useful tools, including Application Enablement Services, a set of interfaces, protocols and Web services that ease the development of Avaya-compatible solutions. Members also get access to other technical resources and training.
“We help businesses embed secure, reliable Intelligent Communications into the very fabric of their organization so employees and customers have ready access to information regardless of where they are and how they prefer to communicate,” explained Eric Rossman, vice president of developer relations and technical alliances at Avaya, in a statement.
In exchange for these benefits, as a Gold level member VoSKY must meet rigorous criteria set out by Avaya in the areas of product support, customer satisfaction, marketing & sales, and business operations.
