By Anshu Shrivastava, TMCnet Contributing Editor

Telecom Association (TA), a national professional membership organization of over 3,200 Telecom industry professionals, recently honoroed  Los Angeles-based AireSpring with a Members’ Choice Award as the top “SIP Trunking” Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) provider.

Privately-held AireSpring (News - Alert) is a telecommunications carrier offering next-generation voice, data, integrated, SIP/VoIP, and conferencing products.

This is the fourth consecutive year of the annual Members Choice award, according to Dan Baldwin, founder of TA.

“Winning TA's annual Members' Choice award is a significant tribute to each winner's channel partner and customer service Programs,” said Baldwin.

Daniel Lonsteinm, COO at AireSpring, said that the company is thrilled to be recognized by the TA for its achievements in IP communications and as a carrier and reseller of innovative voice and data products.

“It is our privilege and honor to be chosen by fellow telecom professionals as the best SIP and VOIP provider in the industry,” said Lonsteinm.

AireSpring has also attained second rank in the CLEC/LEC and Reseller categories. And, the company has finished in the top 10 for Carrier, Internet/Data, and Multi-Location provider.

Company officials said that a total of six major awards reinforces the effort that AireSpring has put into the creation of its local, long distance, and data products, and also next generation IP network which supports the company’s session initiation protocol (SIP) products.

Last month, AireSpring achieved interoperability between its SIP Services and Sutus’ Business Central designed to provide small businesses with a streamlined IT and telephony bundle.

Also in January, AireSpring announced the successful completion of interoperability testing with Critical Links (News - Alert), a provider of unified voice, data and IT solutions for small and medium businesses (SMBs).
