AireSpring Brings SIP Trunking to ShoreTel VoIP Customers

Today, two factors weigh heavily on every business decision maker’s mind: budget and business process enhancement — and of course, the two are hardly mutually exclusive. Certainly cost cutting can stand alone, but improving business efficiency has both short- and long-term cost benefits in terms of resource allocation as well as customer relationships.
The cost benefit of VoIP has been an obvious driver in business adoption of IP-based telephony solutions, and it continues to be. But, businesses are also realizing the added benefits of Unified Communications solutions for their daily operations, including enabling mobile workforces to remain productive, increasing collaboration through conferencing and document and application sharing capabilities, and simplified access to information and people, to name a few.

In addition to providing IP-based communications within a business, the addition of AireSpring’s SIP Trunking capabilities extends the benefits of VoIP beyond the LAN and WAN, allowing customers to benefit from AireSpring’s LCR (Least Cost Routing) capability to achieve lower connection costs to PSTN endpoints. From the customer premises to AireSpring’s network, the connection is pure SIP, at which point AireSpring is able to provide the most cost effective termination path.
AireSpring’s SIP Trunking service also extends the benefits of collaboration and productivity to all calls — not just those within a business network, allowing customers to interact more efficiently with colleagues, partners, and customers. It also allows users to easily scale their solutions to meet new requirements as they grow, providing much needed investment protection.
