Ingate Systems (News - Alert), a partner of IVR Technologies, has achieved certification with ShoreTel’s Pure IP
Unified Communications (News - Alert) solutions, providing the highest level of security for enterprise VoIP and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) trunk deployments.
Ingate has passed all requirements to be certified within ShoreTel’s (News - Alert) Technology Partner Program (TPP).
The company is headquartered in Sweden with offices in Stockholm and Linköping. It develops firewall
technology and products that enable SIP-based live communication for the enterprise while maintaining control and security at the network edge.
In addition to an extensive line of Ingate Firewalls, the company also produces the award-winning Ingate SIParator, a device that connects to an existing network firewall to seamlessly enable SIP
communications.
Ingate products currently protect the networks of retail companies, financial institutions, industrial firms, government agencies and small-to-large enterprises throughout Europe, Asia and North America.
Used with ShoreTel’s unified communications system, Ingate’s Firewalls and SIParators provide the highest level of security for SIP-based VoIP
and realtime communications applications.
Ingate also enables SIP trunking, a new application that many service providers offer and that rapidly reduces costs by eliminating the need for an enterprise PSTN
gateway, unused BRI/PRI capacity, expensive and underutilized phone lines or trunks at remote offices, and by providing PSTN termination in the local area.
“ShoreTel's Technology Partner Program helps to speed customer deployments because it serves as a single resource for products like Ingate's Firewalls, SIParators and SIP trunking solutions that are seamlessly interoperable with ShoreTel’s solutions,” Steven Johnson (News - Alert), president, Ingate Systems said in a statement. “We are proud to add our award-winning products to the ShoreTel community of SIP-based VoIP solutions.”
“Ingate’s SIP trunk offerings simplify installations. They also provide the highest level of security – critical for enterprise environments -- for SIP-based applications including VoIP, IM etc.,” said Kevin Gavin, vice president of product marketing, ShoreTel.
Gavin continued: “We applaud Ingate’s success in developing solutions that make new, important technologies such as enterprise SIP trunking available to businesses of all sizes, bridging the gap between businesses using VoIP and those still on the PSTN. We are delighted to include Ingate’s SIP-enabling security solutions to the ShoreTel Technology Partner Program.”
