PBX solutions provider Zultys Technologies (News - Alert) announced Friday the appointment of a new Director of Sales for the U.S. West Coast region: Rodney Johnson. Johnson is now responsible for managing growth of Zultys’ customer acquisitions, channel recruitment, and strategic relationships in the West Coast region.
Johnson brings to his new position almost 20 years of experience in the telecom industry. He’ll use his knowledge of the industry to drive sales and channel growth for Zultys, as well as deepen the company’s new management team.
In the Friday announcement, Zultys president and CEO Avi Wienrib said that Johnson’s sales experience and industry knowledge made him a logical choice to help the company grow its aggressive sales strategy.
“His expertise and superb sales capabilities will greatly contribute to our future success,” Wienrib said in a statement.
Johnson has, since 2002, served as Director of Dealer Affairs at Zultys’ sister company, Telrad Connegy; he originally joined that company in 1990. Prior to Telrad Connegy, Johnson worked at Volt Telecom (News - Alert) (a subcontractor of Pacific Bell) and served as operations manager at a regional, value-added reseller. Johnson started his telecom industry career after serving four years in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he worked on the radio systems of C-130 Hercules transport aircraft.

communications market.
