GTT Gets SASE with Secure Connect

After SD-WAN set the stage, attending its SASE second feature was not a hard sell. The demand for work from anywhere access, coupled with mass cloud migration is calling for solutions merging the best in security and networking functionality.

GTT announced Secure Connect. Based on SASE framework, and easily integrated with GTT Managed SD-WAN, Secure Connect addresses network security, offering FWaaS (Firewall as a Service), ZTNA (Zero Trust Network Access), SWG (Secure Web Gateway (News - Alert)) and CASB (Cloud Access Security Broker) capabilities in a single cloud platform.

"In an enterprise environment where digital business and the use of cloud applications has become more critical, coupled with the challenge of supporting a hybrid workforce and an intensifying cyber-threat landscape, customers are demanding network integrated security solutions that are comprehensive with an improved user experience," explained Don MacNeil, GTT COO.

SD-WAN is a starting point for enterprise transformation. According to Omdia, more than 80% of enterprises lack a fully developed approach to cybersecurity and digital risk. Underpinning the GTT Secure Connect platform is Prisma Access, a more than capable Palo Alto (News - Alert) Networks product to address that pitfall.

In bringing together security and networking functionality, GTT is mitigating risk and improving performance. With Secure Connect’s capacity for customization, organizations of all shapes and sizes can adopt a SASE framework.
