MSPs are making hay while the sun shines. Managed service providers are playing a central role in modernizing operations for organizations large and small around the globe. SD-WAN is a technology propelling these efforts.

Vandis Inc announced the arrival of Barracuda CloudGen WAN to its stable of Microsoft (News - Alert) Azure Lighthouse managed service offerings. Firms can now implement secure SD-WAN with Microsoft Azure Virtual WAN (vWAN) to support enterprise connectivity via mesh connectivity between cloud, data center and branch.

"This innovative solution will enable our clients to change the way they connect multiple remote locations between each other and their cloud environment," said Vandis' CTO Ryan Young.

Vandis is allowing companies to access Microsoft’s global network, moving away from MPLS, and the Barracuda CloudGen WAN to cut costs and optimize SD-WAN performance. The Azure Lighthouse MSP promises rapid deployment, unified security policies as well as additional fine-tuning and configuration capabilities. Vandis will handle the heavy lifting of architecting, implementing and managing the solution.

"With our engineering team's experience and close working relationship with Barracuda, we will help clients redefine their networks alongside Azure's vWAN and Barracuda CloudGen," Young continued.

SD-WAN is wooing the enterprise, and as it moves into maturation the future forward technology is opening the world to the cloud era.
