The enterprise appetite for WAN performance is insatiable, throw in the cloud era and the need to support mission critical applications and what one ends up with is ripe conditions for SD-WAN adoption. While MPLS networks will always have a place in the enterprise, SD-WAN is what makes an enterprise a digital-first enterprise.

Türk Telekom International (TTI) announced a multi-year master service agreement with PCCW (News - Alert) Global, which enables TTI to deploy SD-WAN services in collaboration with PCCW Global to better support enterprise customers. The pairing will assist in delivering cloud application security and reduce superfluous traffic over MPLS to drive mission-critical application performance with added capacity.

Mr. Sameh Sobhy, Vice President, Middle East, Turkey & Africa, PCCW Global (News - Alert), noted, “This collaboration will allow TTI to extend the reach and deployment of its services on a worldwide basis by making use of PCCW Global’s SD-WAN capabilities, while at the same time PCCW Global can now extend the reach of its service portfolio to a greater geographic area across Turkey, Eastern and Central Europe where TTI has presence.”

With SD-WAN in place, enterprises can easily manage broadband Internet connectivity, dual-edge devices, distributed gateways and various connectivity options via end-to-end management portal. TTI is focused on empowering the enterprise, and will continue to build out its portfolio to achieve that vision.

Mr. Sükrü Kutlu, Group CEO of TTI, explained, “In our complex business environment, Türk Telekom International continually assesses the compatibility of its strategy for each product and service, so by adding the SD-WAN service in collaboration with PCCW Global to TTI’s current product range, enterprise customers will experience cost effective, secure, policy-driven transport and improved performance.”
