Sprint Expands 'Certainty' with VMware SD-WAN by VeloCloud

Today, Sprint (News - Alert) announced a global SD-WAN infrastructure expansion, extending its partnership with VMware to further leverage the VMware SD-WAN by VeloCloud and augment presence of Sprint’s SD-WAN to more than 100 countries.

With presence in North America, South America, Europe and AsiaPac, the newly announced expansion amounts to an increase of 150% in Sprint’s coverage footprint. The additions mean improved accessibility, quality and performance to the carrier’s network.

Now, non-traditional, cost-effective ways of connecting are more viable," said Mike Fitz, vice president of Sprint's Global Wireline business. SD-WAN is no longer an optional undertaking. As we learned at SD-WAN Expo 2020, Organizations large and small can make good use of this up-and-coming networking technology; from managed to DIY, deployments are on the rise and it’s no secret as to why.
