Cradlepoint Offers Broad Packages, Subscription-Based Options

Cradlepoint has made a couple interesting announcements of late. The company says it is now offering SD-WAN via a subscription-based pricing model. And it has a new all-inclusive IoT-related cloud service package family.

The former involves new packaging providing customers with software and a wireless router via one-, three-, and five-year subscriptions. The packages include NetCloud edge routing, security, and cloud management features tailored to specific industries; endpoint hardware and integrated 4G LTE (News - Alert) modems; and round-the-clock live chat and phone support, as well as a knowledge base customers can access as needed.

The company announced this solution a week ago today at the National Retail Federation event in New York. It followed that up with the IoT packaging news at the IoT Evolution Expo conference in Orlando, Fla.

The new Internet of Things package includes software-defined perimeter technology, pervasive wireless connectivity, and cloud management.
