Connectivity is critically important for today's enterprises, and having a reliable network infrastructure with higher availability, more bandwidth and better redundancy is essential to ensure digital communications at all times. The successful completion of interoperability testing between nexVortex (News - Alert) SIP Trunking and nexVortex hosted voice services, with the SD-WAN Edge product appliance from Ecessa (News - Alert) will, according to both parties, deliver on the availability, bandwidth and redundancy organizations will need.

Specializing in SIP Trunking, multi-site applications, hosted PBX (News - Alert), hosted contact centers and customized solutions, nexVortex provides cloud communications so businesses can have the flexibility and agility they need to scale as needed. By integrating its solutions with Ecessa, which designs and manufactures networking hardware and software to provide constant and seamless network connectivity for businesses, they will be able to address the hardware, software and infrastructure side of digital communications.

"We have been delivering commercial service for over 10 years and appreciate what the Ecessa product can do at the edge of the network. The ability to use multiple WAN links to deliver a quality voice call provides our SIP Trunking customers, hosted voice customers, and channel partners great confidence when deploying the joint solution," said Wes Rogers, nexVortex founder and chief operating officer.

Ecessa has a line of WAN controllers with more than 10,000 field installations with its SD-WAN Edge, PowerLink, ClariLink and WANworX that have allowed organizations of all sizes to reliably run the Internet and cloud-based applications, connect offices globally and distribute traffic among a fabric of multiple, diverse WAN links using any type of private or public network bandwidth to ensure business continuity by removing bottlenecks and eliminating network downtime.

The testing for the interoperability included verification with the nexVortex SIP service and nexVortex hosted voice offering along with forced- failure scenarios while using multiple WAN links. Real word scenarios in which problems could affect connectivity issues were carried out, including intentionally degrading the quality of the link and a hard disconnect of the primary WAN link, with the Ecessa SD-WAN Edge moving in-progress calls to an alternate WAN link successfully.

In a statement, both companies highlighted the economic and scaling benefit of SIP combined with the WAN link failover and load balancing of the Ecessa Edge product for enterprises using nexVortex SIP Trunking for IP-based voice. This also applies for organizations looking to migrate away from on premises-based PBX to the nexVortex hosted voice offering using the Ecessa Edge as an access device.
