Ecessa Edge SD-WAN Interoperable with NexVortex

The successful completion of interoperability testing between nexVortex (News - Alert) SIP Trunking and nexVortex hosted voice services, with the SD-WAN Edge product appliance from Ecessa (News - Alert) will, according to both parties, deliver on the availability, bandwidth and redundancy organizations will need.

By integrating its solutions with Ecessa, which designs and manufactures networking hardware and software to provide constant and seamless network connectivity for businesses, they will be able to address the hardware, software and infrastructure side of digital communications.

The testing for the interoperability included verification with the nexVortex SIP service and nexVortex hosted voice offering along with forced- failure scenarios while using multiple WAN links. Real word scenarios in which problems could affect connectivity issues were carried out, including intentionally degrading the quality of the link and a hard disconnect of the primary WAN link, with the Ecessa SD-WAN Edge moving in-progress calls to an alternate WAN link successfully.

In a statement, both companies highlighted the economic and scaling benefit of SIP combined with the WAN link failover and load balancing of the Ecessa Edge product for enterprises using nexVortex SIP Trunking for IP-based voice. This also applies for organizations looking to migrate away from on premises-based PBX to the nexVortex hosted voice offering using the Ecessa Edge as an access device.
