CloudGenix Opens Largest Satellite Office in Raleigh

Mention Silicon Valley to anyone, and it is automatically recognized as the hub of the startup ecosystem for high-tech development responsible for creating some of the most innovative products and services we use today. In an effort to spread wings, many companies in the Valley establish offices in other parts of the country, which is what CloudGenix has done with the opening of its largest satellite office in Raleigh, North Carolina.

CloudGenix was founded in 2013 to provide SD-WAN, or software-defined WAN, to introduce a new level of efficiency in the increasingly connected world we live in. The company gives organizations the ability to build their WAN defined by software instead of hardware. The CloudGenix SD-WAN has a policy-based language that builds a centralized control plane with intelligence to replace the fragmentation and inefficiency of current networking.

This gives organization a low cost, flexible and vendor independence platform for a lightweight instant-on network.

CloudGenix solves the network problems that is plaguing enterprises as they try to cope with the capacity issues of existing infrastructures. The solution it has created improves cloud-based application performance, implements hybrid WAN, creates dynamic security perimeter, and enables software-defined enterprise (SDE).

According to the company's customers this has resulted in achieving twice the performance at half the cost while increasing WAN throughput up to 95 percent from the 65 percent average. Additionally, they were able to provision new branches and rollout applications much quicker by eliminating unnecessary routing protocols with zero propriety hardware.

Fueled by an infusion of $34 million in venture capital funding, CloudGenix is looking to use its capital in the most efficient way possible. While the company will still have a presence in Silicon Valley, the Raleigh location will contribute to the overall operation of the organization by taking advantage of the sales and engineering hub of the region, which has led some other tech companies to make the same move. This includes Cisco, IBM, NetApp, EMC, Citrix (News - Alert), RedHat, ShareFile, eTix, Epic Games and many others.
