It’s been revealed today that New Zealand’s largest distributor of technology products, Ingram Micro (News - Alert), has signed a strategic distribution partnership with global manufacturer of power management and backup solutions, CyberPower Systems.

Specifically, CyberPower Systems offers computer battery backup solutions, power management applications and power accessories for desktop, workstation and network equipment. This new forging of alliances will help better protect the country’s clients who desire enhanced power protection and management.

This is certainly a hot topic, as well. Melanie Wrann, general manager, Vendor Management for Ingram Micro, explains in a statement that power protection and management is a strong category, as customers continuously seek to protect their expensive equipment from such threats as power spikes and brownouts, as well as to ensure power supply for critical systems in the event of power cuts.

She continues in said statement, “CyberPower Systems has a suite of products to suit a wide range of customer requirements from large enterprises and data-centers to SOHO offices to consumers looking to provide protection for their home theatre, home networking and high-end audio equipment.”

CyberPower’s National Sales Manager for Australia and New Zealand, Brad Andrews, also adds how cost-efficiency, quality and simplicity for the SME and home highly impacted this decision. He explains, “Both consumer and SME customers appreciate the design of products such as our BRIC LCD UPS – which is as simple to use as a multi-way power box but offers sophisticated power conditioning, power and network protection and battery backup functionality combined with a simple, easy to understand LCD display.”

Ingram Micro will be distributing a full range of CyberPower Systems’ offerings in New Zealand, including the BRIC LCD UPS, the PFC Sinewave Series UPS, and the Value Series UPS range – all which will help advance the state of power protection for New Zealanders. The statement also reveals that in addition to providing reliable SME and consumer UPS solutions, CyberPower also offers an array of tower and rack-mountable UPS products for enterprises and data-centers.
