CyberPower Systems, a company specializing in power protection products, is increasing its solution offering by launching a new line of Monitored and Switched Power Distributions Units (PDU).

The new line includes the first Monitored PDUs offered by CyberPower, including a range of PDU solutions for most business requirements.

“With these new products CyberPower Systems continues to increase its solution offering, providing customers with a robust product selection making it easier for customers to find the specific PDU that fits their needs,” Tim Derochie, director of Product Development, CyberPower said in a press release.

“As with all our products, we are so confident in the quality we offer an industry leading 3 year warranty,” Derochie added.

CyberPower’s line of 7 new Monitored PDU’s provides both 1U and 2U Rackmount versions ranging from 8 – 16 outlets and providing 120V and 200-240V output with 15-, 20- and 30-amp electrical capacity. Power status can be monitored over the network, using CyberPower Management Console and the RJ45 Ethernet port for local network connection, or locally using the LCD.

The front LCD displays the electrical current used by connected equipment in amperes and can be toggled to display input voltage, power being consumed in kilowatts, and the IP address of the network interface.

In addition to the new Monitored PDUs, CyberPower also announced the addition of seven new Switched PDUs in both 1U and 2U Rackmount versions, ranging from 8 to 16 outlets and providing 120V and 200-240V output with 15-, 20- and 30 amp electrical capacity.

Company officials emphasized that along with the features of the Monitored line, outlets on the Switched PDU’s can be managed individually over the network using the CyberPower Management Console and the RJ45 Ethernet port or locally using the LCD functionality. The CyberPower Management Console offers remote management of the unit including monitoring PDU vitals, logging power events, as well as controlling outlets and networked clients.

Designed for datacenters and other electrically demanding applications, these units have a rugged, industrial-grade metal housing and 10- or 12-foot AC power cords. They can be mounted either horizontally or vertically, include a cord retention tray and are UL60950_1 and FCC (News - Alert) Class-B certified.

Moreover, with 3 year warranty, the company also ensures these PDU’s are of the highest quality in design, assembly, material and workmanship.

According to Research and Markets’ recent survey, the global power distribution unit for data center market is noted to grow at a CAGR of 14 percent over the period 2011-2015.  Founded in 1997, CyberPower Systems is a key vendor dominating this market space. The company achieved ISO 9001 Certification for its state-of-the-art manufacturing processes. It now operates in the North American, Latin American, Asian Pacific and European markets.
