SugarCRM Stretches Southeast

By Stefania Viscusi, Assignment Desk Editor

As more and more customers respond positively to the open source CRM software offered by SugarCRM, the company is announcing the opening of a new office in Atlanta, Georgia targeted at its growing customer base in the southeast region of the United States.

With the new office, Sugar will be better able to communicate with and support developers, customers and partners in the area.

To head the operations in the Southwest location, SugarCRM has also announced the appointment of CRM veteran David Gearhart onboard as the regional vice president of corporate sales.

Just last month, Sugar announced the opening of a location in Dublin, Ireland in response to their growth in and adoption across Europe.

"This new office will bring Sugar closer to the southeast extending our ability to interact with and serve our enthusiastic developer community, customers and partners," said John Roberts co-founder, chairman and CEO of SugarCRM in a statement to the press.

Gearhart brings 11 years experience in CRM to the team and commented, "The Sugar community is a strong force driving SugarCRM to constantly achieve excellence, and I look forward to combining my expertise in CRM with Sugar's strong leadership in commercial open source."

SugarCRM also recently made headlines when they announced the release of Project Management  its Sugar Professional and Sugar Enterprise product lines.
