SugarCRM (News - Alert) users will now have advanced document management capabilities thanks to go-mobile, a provider of popular extensions for SugarCRM, who has released ZuckerDocs Version 2, which offers SugarCRM users KnowledgeTree, open source document management.
With this, users are able to utilize KnowledgeTree's version control and full-text document search mechanisms as well as associate documents within the KnowledgeTree repository with SugarCRM objects likes accounts, opportunities and leads.
"Companies use SugarCRM to provide a customer-centric view of their information. ZuckerDocs extends that philosophy by allowing a customer-centric view of documents," said Florian Treml, Lead Developer of the ZuckerDocs project at go-mobile.
As per the latest announcement, gomobile's ZuckerDocs Version 2, which includes KnowledgeTree's Web Services API
and integration for both commercial and open source versions of SugarCRM and KnowledgeTree, will be listed on SugarExchange.
Commenting on this, John Thorne, Chief Sales Officer, KnowledgeTree said in a statement to the press, "KnowledgeTree and SugarCRM are both developed on the popular LAMP stack. When we published our web services API a few months ago, our intention was for third-party developers to build applications around KnowledgeTree. ZuckerDocs is a significant use of the API and we're pleased that this strategy is adding value to both the KnowledgeTree and SugarCRM communities."
