Last month, MobileMax, known for its mobile unified communication solutions, displayed its mobile PBX (News - Alert) solution at Broadsoft Connections 2010. At the conference, Perry Nalevka, VP of global business development at MobileMax, gave a presentation on further monetizing your VoIP platform using BroadWorks.
Nalevka’s demonstration, given before an audience of over 600 spectators from around 250 carriers, focused on MobileMax’s (News - Alert) Unified Communication “UC” Suite. The UC Suite includes mobile VoIP, mobile UC call control and instant messages and presence; all imperative features for mobile PBX (News - Alert).
Nalevka showed Broadsoft customers how MobileMax’s latest application essentially extends enterprise deskphone capabilities for unified communications to a mobile device.
With the help of BroadWorks and their latest edition of BroadCloud, MobileMax has an array of new mobile UC applications that can help users further monetize their BroadWorks platform.
According to Nalevka, over 40 percent of mobile calls are made while in arms reach of a desk phone. “Wouldn’t we all be a little more productive if we had the power of broad works at our fingertips?” Nalevka said.
MobileMax is focused on creating the most comprehensive mobile UC experience possible for its users.
Nalevka demonstrated how to navigate the MobileMax UC Suite using both an iPhone (News - Alert) and a Blackberry device as models. MobileMax’s UC Suite supports all smartphones.
According to his demonstration, there are three basic modules. The first module features an enterprise directory integrated with the Broadworks BroadCloud, featuring presence and instant messaging. Module 2 features a softphone and the ability to make VoIP calls over 3G or Wifi as well as click to dial calls. Lastly, module 3 includes all the power of the BroadWorks call control features including remote office calls, call forwarding, do not disturb, etc.
By using the MobileMax mobile PBX solution, users can utilize all that BroadWorks already has to offer their customers while also allowing them to do so with the convenience of their mobile phones.
