In an effort to extend speech recognition capability into its BroadWorks hosted VoIP platform, Broadcore (News - Alert) has been working closely with Inference Solutions. The collaboration resulted in the development of an advanced Interactive Voice Response (IVR) and speech recognition service offering that integrates natively with the BroadWorks platform.
More recently, Broadcore gained a new client, Ardwin Freig, or this speech recognition product offering, which is offered as part of Broadcire Cloud Communications offering.
“We have been working with Inference Solutions for some time now to establish an advanced IVR and speech recognition service offering that integrates natively with our BroadWorks platform. We are now able to offer all of our customers both inbound and outbound speech recognition applications that can deliver far greater automation opportunities at a much lower cost,” Director of Client Services at Broadcore Alan Pourafzal explained in a statement.
The speech recognition application based on Broadcore’s managed BroadSoft (News - Alert) Telephony platform, allows the operator to ask the customer the city and state they are calling from and accordingly assign the customer’s call to an agent, best fitted to assist the customer. This new speech recognition service provides Ardwin Freight with an ‘on net’ speech enabled IVR service.
“Previously when we wanted to use any advanced IVR or speech recognition services we had to send calls off net and hair pin calls to another IVR providers platform. This meant the cost to service these calls was too great. By speech enabling our own telephony platform we are now able to manage our costs more effectively with the added bonus of much tighter integration” President of Ardwin Freight Edwin Sahakian said.
