In recent years, major advancements in processing power have changed the way voice developers design their products. It’s no longer a world of voice apps built on DSP-powered boards installed in PCs.
The biggest advancement has been host processing, and this is the topic of a session titled “Examining Host Media Processing,” to be held at Internet Telephony Conference & EXPO (in San Diego October 10-13, 2006). The session will be presented by Ruben Martinez, Senior Systems Engineer at Dialogic (formerly Eicon Networks (News - Alert)); and Faye McClenahan, Head of Strategic Marketing at Aculab.
The session is scheduled for October 11, 2006, from 10:15 to 11:00 a.m.
Martinez and McClenahan will explain the significance of host-based processing, which—by enabling development of software-centric applications and products—dramatically speeds up time-to-market and reduces delivery costs.
In particular, the presenters will examine how application developers can take advantage of host-based processing to develop applications and products for today’s mixed TDM and IP environment.
Attendees interested in learning more about host-based process are encouraged to visit the booths for Dialogic (News - Alert) and Aculab (News - Alert) (#318 and #506, respectively). Even more information about the topic is available on the
