IP Phone Innovator Introduces New Partner
By Maurice Nagle, Web Editor

Some have begun etching the desk phone’s epitaph, whereas others are meeting enterprise needs with advancement in the IP phone space.  The enterprise will always have a need to communicate and collaborate, so when selecting a unified communications solution it is also vital to ensure one’s IP phones are up to snuff.

This week, Grandstream Networks (News - Alert) announced a newly minted partnership with hosted unified communications (UC) provider ANPI.  As part of the newly formed agreement, ANPI has certified Grandstream’s DP715/710 DECT (News - Alert) IP phones and will be recommending them moving forward.

"We are thrilled to extend Grandstream products to an industry-leading service provider the caliber of ANPI," said David Li (News - Alert), CEO of Grandstream. "Our DECT Cordless IP Phones are the perfect match for ANPI's market-leading hosted and carrier solutions and will allow ANPI customers to mobilize the robust ANPI Hosted UC solution."

ANPI offers a full suite of UC solutions, with its VIP being the crown jewel. The feature-rich hosted solution has integrated user-friendly Web and collaboration tools, mobility and a Web portal for simple management and monitoring of the solution.

"Grandstream's products are a great fit for the needs of our Hosted UC customers looking for cost-effective, fully-featured devices," said Ramakrishna Rao, Vice President of Business Applications, ANPI.  "The Grandstream DECT handsets provide our customers a great solution for retail and warehouse locations where mobility is a must-have."

Grandstream’s DECT IP Phone (News - Alert) line provides users with the mobility and accessibility desired in an IP phone, and each set includes a base station and one handset. Each base station is capable of supporting up to five handsets. With plug and play functionality let the collaboration and communication begin.

Many claim the desk phone is on the back nine of its long and illustrious career, but innovation in the IP phone space is meeting enterprise demand while preserving the “traditional office” by giving the best of both worlds—reliable, feature-rich tools that provide the level of accessibility and mobility desired in today’s always-on, always plugged-in world.
