Broadsmart Makes More IP Phones Available to End-users
By Alisen Downey, TMCnet Web Editor

VoIP communications have come a long way since first being introduced into the call center industry. Today, IP-based phones and headsets provide agents with crisp audio quality, and access to a multitude of other features such as video calling and messaging. What’s more, in an era when technology is crumbling geographical barriers, IP phones make use of Internet connections and offer extremely affordable international communications.

Understanding this, cloud communications services provider Broadsmart (News - Alert) announced that it will offer contact centers with full support for Yealink SIP phones. As a result of the new partnership agreement, Broadsmart’s channel partners will be able to provide the full range of Yealink’s (News - Alert) advanced phones to their end-user customers, thus allowing them to take advantage of all that IP communications have to offer. Yealink is currently the world’s second-largest SIP phone supplier.

“Our goal is to provide our partners with the best technologies available to maximize their success,” explained Tom Tharrington, president of Broadsmart. “Yealink’s SIP phones provide leading-edge features and functions at a price point that our customers appreciate. Equally important is the fact that our partners have asked for Broadsmart support for Yealink SIP phones to be added to our software platform. There is now a strong demand for our joint solution, which combines the prices and functionality of Yealink and ourselves. Our partners tell us that they are very excited to be able to offer these phones to their end-user customers.”

The benefits of the partnership do not stop at Broadsmart supporting Yealink’s full line of SIP phones, however. The cloud communications provider will also be adopting Yealink phones as the standard handset for all of its clients using Broadsmart ACD.

“Yealink has been working tirelessly to maximize the value we offer as a leading VoIP products and solutions competitor in the global marketplace,” Stone Lu (News - Alert), senior vice president for sales and marketing for Yealink, added in the partnership announcement.
