IP phone maker Yealink (News - Alert) announced its Gigabit Color Screen IP Handset SIP-T38G has won the Best VoIP Customer Premises Equipment award from Internet Telephony Services Providers’ Association’s (ITSPA).

The “Best VoIP Customer Premises Equipment” title was bestowed at a special presentation hosted at the Palace of Westminster, the home of the UK Parliament, by Dr Julian Huppert MP, vice chair of the Parliamentary Internet Communications and Technology Forum.

The SIP-T38G is designed for the growing application of gigabit networks as organizations seek to exploit collaborative technologies and enable intra-network transfer of increasingly large files. With its gigabit capacity, T38G can support speeds 100 times faster than regular Ethernet and ten times that of Fast Ethernet.

The built-in GigE switch has earned acclaims for its Texas Instruments (News - Alert) Aries chipset and voice engine, a 4.3” 16.7 million color TFT-LCD display as well as its high definition standards running across voice, codec, speaker and handset. Other important features that contributed to this achievement include support for XML browser, online promotion, and many other value-added features.

In the award submission, Yealink was able to demonstrate the practical application of the handset in various environments, demonstrating how this model has facilitated affordable integration with super high speed gigabit networks and compatibility with SIP based IP-PBX (News - Alert) and hosted softswitch platforms. 

In addition to the recognition from ITSPA, Yealink has also won a number of other awards from Global Authorities and Institutions.  The IP phone maker has also established a good label among customers by offering them real benefits using their products.
