SIP Print and snom: a Call Recording Match Made in Heaven

By Juliana Kenny, TMCnet Managing Editor

In a recent partnership to fuse the offerings of two leaders in the VoIP space, SIP Print (News - Alert) and snom officially tested and validated each other’s solutions for a broadened and more solidified customer interaction strategy.

“It’s a technology partnership. We sell telephones, and we sell IP PBXs, so we and SIP Print did a validation so our solutions can work with each other. We did testing for a week so that everything works together in a simple fashion,” said Mike Storella (News - Alert), COO for snom Technology in an interview.

He went on to note that through this mutual validation with SIP Print, snom’s customers will be ensured that they are approved to implement both sets of technologies, snom phones and SIP Print call recording technology, and that “if there is a problem both companies are going to stand up to resolving anything in a rapid fashion.”

As the world’s communicative technologies continue to move into an all IP operative state, this partnership is an example of how those major players in the VoIP industry are constantly doing testing to make sure there is general interoperability with SIP protocol.

Storella continued, on the subject of SIP Print’s call recording software, “It is all IP and becomes an easy install that gets installed on the LAN and seamless integration to our snom products. Additionally with SIP Print there is no need for any type of telephone legacy gateways to older telephone recording equipment.”

As an extension of snom’s interop plan, this partnership unites both companies who have niches in the SMB space. In a recent article by TMC’s (News - Alert) Stefanie Mosca, she described snom’s technologies more in depth, “The snom ONE plus provides VARs with a plug-and-play hardware appliance for business IP telephony that is pre -installed and configured with snom ONE IP PBX software for easy deployment with snom business IP desktop phones including the snom 3xx series, snom 8xx series, snom m9 DECT (News - Alert) phones, and snom MeetingPoint conference phone.”

This partnership is sure to expand the interoperability of a great deal of VoIP users who now have the seal of approval of both SIP Print and snom technologies for a better and more streamlined VoIP experience.
