By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor

snom technology, a developer of VoIP phones and IP communications  solutions for the enterprise and small business market, announced it is showcasing two of its latest innovations, the snom ONE plus IP PBX appliance and the snom 821 OCE Edition desktop phone, at Interop (News - Alert) conference in Las Vegas this week.

The snom ONE plus  is based on standards-based Session Initiation Protocol (News - Alert) (SIP) technology. It provides VARs with a plug-and-play hardware appliance for business IP telephony that is pre -installed and configured with snom ONE IP PBX (News - Alert) software.

The hardware can be easily deployed with snom business IP desktop phones and endpoints, including the snom 3xx series, snom 8xx series, snom m9 DECT (News - Alert) phones, and snom MeetingPoint conference phone.

The snom ONE plus also offers advanced IP PBX functionality. Some of the features include centralized address book, auto attendants, hunt groups, hot desking, shared line emulation and customer relationship management (CRM) integration.

Additional features of snom’s advanced IP telephony include a series of advanced presence and monitoring features, such as remote extension monitoring, agent groups, remote worker support and cell phone twinning.

The snom 821 OCS Edition desktop is an executive phone optimized for use in Microsoft (News - Alert) Office Communications Server 2007 R2 environments using snom’s purpose-built OCS firmware.

snom 821 OCS Edition desktop was recently tested and approved by Microsoft for interoperability with Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2. It is being further tested for use with Microsoft Lync 2010.

The first snom phone qualified with an extended feature support for Microsoft OCS 2007 R2, the snom 821 OCS Edition includes an interoperable presence, contact list, corporate directory search capabilities and device lock capabilities.

At the Interop, snom officials are also presenting on how small to medium-sized businesses, as well as large enterprise, can quickly and easily adopt an IP telephony environment without breaking their budget.
