The integration of the TR-069 client delivered by AVSystem has been completed by Yealink Network Technology. An announcement in this regard has been made by the professional manufacturer of IP Phones, Yealink (News - Alert).

Starting from the baseline SIP-T20P IP phones up to the most advanced SIP-T28P IP phones and video IP phones, the TR-069 libcwmp client has been deployed in the entire product range. Users like Telco and other large enterprises will now be provided with additional options for remote management with this new functionality. They will also have additional options for provisioning and firmware upgrades of the deployed devices.

Broadband Forum (News - Alert) has specified TR-069 as the industry standard for remote provisioning, management and monitoring of any network enabled devices. Telco is widely using this standard across the world. Based on the strictest criteria of memory consumption and CPU utilization, the AVSystem stack has been selected for TR-069 management.

In a press release, Stone Lu, vice president of Yealink, said, “Yealink did the right choice in selecting AVSystem as its strategic partner for TR-069 module for IP phone family. Thanks to the lowest memory footprint and excellent abstraction of the AVSystem solution, we were capable of a fast integration of TR-069 client. Nowadays, TR-069 is a ‘must have’ feature for any company supplying Telco with IP phones.”

A whole set of native IP phone features can be directly accessed with AVSystem TR-069 client. These include SIP line configuration, network configuration and QoS settings. More advanced features like ring tone management, phone book management and VoIP call quality monitoring are also directly accessible. The phones can be freely installed behind NAT with the help of the TR-111 standard support. Remote access of the phones from the provisioning platform and VoiceIP-ACS (News - Alert) server is therefore possible.

Investment can be protected in case the IP phones or other devices are donated during the service subscription with the Telco-dedicated AVSystem VoiceIP-ACS platform.
