By Mae Kowalke, TMCnet Senior Editor

Technology Marketing Corporation, publisher of Internet Telephony Magazine and TMCnet.com, today released a list of the Top 100 Voices in IP Communications. The list is the centerpiece of the magazine’s 100thissue, also out today.
Among the people on the list is Todd Landry, Senior Vice President of Sphere Communications, a company that specializes in unified communications software technology.
“IP communications has witnessed tremendous growth over the last five years, and I am proud that Sphere Communications (News - Alert) has played a role in the evolution of the industry,” said Todd Landry, senior vice president of Sphere Communications, in a statement.
He added: “In the coming months and years, IP based unified communications will be an integral part of any successful business, and I am excited about the advancements that are on the horizon—most notably, the move toward software-based IP solutions.”
At Sphere, Todd Landry leads new product and business initiatives for the company’s software-based communications solutions. His background in engineering, marketing, and business—combined with expertise regarding software and system architectures and a strong customer emphasis—create a unique foundation of knowledge.
Landry has participated in numerous industry standards bodies, and was selected to serve on the board of directors for the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions, a leader for standards and operating procedures in the telecommunications industry.
Landry has earned numerous awards, including multiple new product achievement awards, product of the year awards, and advertising achievement awards. He holds two patents in the area of communications and wireless systems.
An accomplished speaker, Landry can be seen in numerous forums, panels and keynotes that include topics such as market changes and impacts, business applications for technology, case studies, and industry direction. In his speaking engagements Landry has shared the podium with numerous industry experts, technology vendors and end users of existing and new technologies.
Landry’s focus is on the real value that can be leveraged from technology for business applications. He can be reached at tlandry@spherecom.com.
Launched in February 1998, Internet Telephony Magazine is the longest-running publication dedicated completely to coverage of IP communications.

“Our committee looked back over the course of the last decade, and came up with 100 people who we felt should be counted among the Top 100 Voices,” said Rich Tehrani, TMC president and group editor-in-chief.  “The common thread among all of the Top 100 Voices is that they played a part in the birth, growth and maturity of the IP Communications market.”
In addition to being profiled in the magazine, the “Top 100 Voices” will be honored at a special reception hosted by Rich Tehrani during Internet Telephony Conference & EXPO West (Oct. 10-13, 2006) in San Diego.
