The important role conferencing solutions play within the enterprise continues to expand as a focus on employee communications grows.
In an announcement made today, Interwise, provider of IP Conferencing and Collaboration solutions demonstrated their ability to help enterprises meet this demand using Interwise Connect, over other offerings.
Philadelphia Insurance Companies (PHLY), a company dedicated to teamwork, discipline and preparation chose the Interwise solution as its corporate standard. After review and demonstration, its ability to provide voice, Web and video conferencing in a single application for unlimited users made it a key choice.
According to a recent news release, the "mantra" of the company's determination and dedication to teamwork can be related to the fact that eight executives from PHLY are tri-athletes who "completed the Ironman Florida Triathlon in Panama City Beach, Florida, last November."
PHLY needed a solution that would help them bridge together their internal employees for company-wide meetings, or "Town Hall" meetings and that eliminated travel needs, were not too costly, were reliable and did not threaten their network. PHLY CEO James Maguire specifically requested a solution that would allow him to deliver one unified message, at the same time, to employees and as a way to connect with company leaders.
Before choosing the Interwise solution, PHLY had a test event, which held 900 employees in a single meeting and helped the company realize additional areas where the solution could provide benefit. "We anticipate numerous uses for supporting out go-to-market processes, underwriting and clams development, policy processing and other agent activities," commented Robert Smith, AVP IT operations for PHLY in a statement to the press.
"Most conferencing tools are built for smaller, departmental-level meetings of external events. We wanted to support all 1,100 of our employees in a single meeting. Interwise was the only tool that didn’t threaten to take down our network—or our budget – to do it," also commented Smith.
The news release also noted that PHLY has plans to further integrate Interwise into their calendaring and administration systems to more efficiently control IT workload.
