ClearOne has announced that its INTERACT AT-OC is the first and only solution certified for Microsoft Communications Server that can provide HD quality audio conferencing for large group conferencing environments (up to 15 people).
Users can enjoy all the benefits of conferencing by simply plugging INTERACT AT-OC into any PC USB port that brings the rich collaboration of Communication Server video, voice, and data sharing into the conference room.
ClearOne notes that when used in conjunction with INTERACT AT-OC the Microsoft (News - Alert) Communicator client bypasses the complicated routine and dialing sequences of setting up a video or teleconference.
In addition, INTERACT AT-OC helps users to connect and collaborate in the large conference room as easily as they can do on their desktops. INTERACT AT-OC easily creates an immersed audio experience in the conferencing room.
Darrin Thurston, vice president of product management for conferencing & collaboration products at ClearOne (News - Alert) said that the INTERACT AT-OC maximizes the collaboration features of the Microsoft Collaboration Server and extends the reach of this ecosystem to any group environment.
Thurston added that when paired with Communication Server '14,' group conferencing becomes a truly unified experience combining HD audio and video with Microsoft's full application suite.
A combination of PC, display, and USB camera with the INTERACT AT-OC allows users to create an affordable video conferencing solution for the group room at a fraction of the cost of traditional systems.
ClearOne will begin the shipment of the INTERACT AT-OC on July 11, 2010 and it will be available at an MSRP of $3,375. The company will showcase the solution at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference in the ClearOne booth on July 11-15, 2010, in Washington, D.C.
