The digital age is seeing the dawn of a new era in networking. In innovation is fueling a software-defined revolution transforming operations. This once startup dominated space, is quickly becoming a packed house with each provider offering its own twist on the up-and-coming technology.
This week, network integration and consultancy firm Datavision announced a partnership with 128 Technology to the 128T Networking Platform, which is a vital component to the deployment of next-generation solutions like SD-WAN.
The 128T is an intelligent software router developed to support NaaS, secure cloud interconnect and SD-WAN that takes a unique approach. Secure Vector Routing is software-based, service-centric and session-aware, which allows for the creation of custom networks crafted for the applications an organization demands.
Deploying the 128T doesn’t impact existing infrastructure, and supports a number of deployment models ranging from hyperscale data centers to branch offices spanning a multi-cloud environment.
"We welcome 128 Technology (News - Alert) into Datavision's portfolio of SDN-centric solutions and are excited to bring the benefits of their approach to our clients and through them, their end customers," states Mark Abolafia, Chief Operating Officer at Datavision. "We look forward to working with and supporting 128 Technology in taking on the challenge of natively providing network-based security, control, and optimization of overly complex networks."
SD-WAN is in its infancy, but certainly went from crawl to walk to run rather fast and is a key technology behind this phase of digital transformation. If you’re curious about learning more, events like SD-WAN Expo exist to bring together leaders in the space to education industry on what this technology can mean for your business.
