Tata Communications (News - Alert) is leveraging network services orchestration technology from Anuta Networks to automate the rollout of its SD-WAN service. That will enable Tata customers to provision the service on demand.

IZO SDWAN is the name of the Tata Communications offering, which will be available across 130 countries. NCX is the name of the Anuta Networks (News - Alert) orchestration solution.

The NCX solution virtualizes Layer 4-7 services, such as QoS, WAN acceleration, firewall security, load balancing, and monitoring, so that they can be more easily applied to applications that require these services. Anuta Networks provides network service orchestration for branch, campus, and data center networks with both physical and virtual devices and in multivendor infrastructures. That makes it easier to manage and scale these heterogeneous environments. Chandu Guntakala, president and CEO of Anuta Networks, explains that NCX leverages YANG to automate complex provisioning and operational flows.

“NCX is a highly extensible, pluggable, and horizontally scalable platform that facilitates agile network service delivery, and brings a DevOps model to managed services,” adds Praveen Vengalam, founder and vice president of engineering at Anuta Networks. “Managed services providers can declare business intent with service models, and the NCX will provide persistence, role-based access control, hierarchical resource pools, Netconf Access Control Model, and auditing. NCX modeling constructs will ensure true telemetry between higher level network services and the deployed configuration on the infrastructure.”

Anuta Networks was founded in 2010 by former Cisco (News - Alert)/Jahi Networks employees Guntakala, Srini Beereddy, and Vengalam. The company is headquartered in Milpitas, Calif., and has R&D operations in Bangalore, India. Earlier this year, it was recognized with TMC’s 2017 Communications Solutions Product of the Year award.
