A Closer Look at Sennheiser's New VMX Office Headset

By Stefania Viscusi, Assignment Desk Editor

As today's business world continues to rely on communications as key to success, the number of users spending time on the phone is climbing.

To help heavy phone users manage calls on the desktop, mobile and PC, and to provide comfort and productivity, Sennheiser Communications (News - Alert) has launched the VMX Office headset. This new offering allows users to have one headset for all their modes of communications.

Because more and more workers are going mobile, the VMX office is a headset targeted toward the "new generation" of mobile workers who demand a high level of functionality from their headsets that goes beyond just the office walls.

The VMX Office makes phone calls and communications comfortable regardless of where a user is located. This means professionals on the go can take a call while on the road, walking into the office and can immediately take calls from their desk phone or call a contact via Skype (News - Alert)—all using the same headset.

VMX Office HeadsetWith the new VMX Office headset, it's possible for users to roam freely throughout the office without needing to be tethered to the desk just to be sure every call is received. Also, workers can toggle easily between their desk phone, mobile phone, and PC thanks to the headsets compatibility with Bluetooth 1.0, 1.1, and 2.0.

In addition to ActiveGard technology which automatically reduces surges in volume in milliseconds to protect the users hearing, the headset also includes VoiceMax technology which dampens intrusive background noise and enhances the human voice – perfect for today's noisy offices and traveling users.

Road warriors today are armed with not only a mobile phone to ensure communications remain constant, but also a laptop and secure remote access. For this reason, the VMX Office connects via a base station to landline phones, computers and Bluetooth mobile phones, so it is the only headset the mobile worker needs.

Stay tuned for the next articles in this series for a closer look at sound quality, safety and comfort offered by the VMX Office headset.
